Pancake Day with a clear idea
Tesco’s upside-down billboard caught our attention because the execution related directly to the action of flipping a pancake. The idea was easy to recognise, while the ingredient messaging connected it to a practical shopping task. It is a useful example of humour doing a job for the campaign.
Mother’s Day as a shopping destination
Dedicated gifting areas and an oversized Yankee Candle display at Sainsbury’s stood out in our store visits. They brought the occasion into view and grouped relevant choices. When planning a gifting display, consider what the shopper needs to compare: the product, presentation, recipient and price.
Easter theatre and our Milky Way work
In a busy seasonal aisle, scale and placement can change how a product is presented. We contributed hotspot graphics for the Asda-exclusive Milky Way Easter egg, giving the product a theatrical setting on shelf. It was one of the pieces of Juice work featured in the roundup.
Plan for the transition between moments
These occasions arrive close together, but they do not have the same purpose. A useful brief identifies the shopping mission for each one and sets dates for changing the communication. That helps keep the creative relevant as the store moves from one seasonal moment to the next.
